The Free Dress Pattern is for a beautiful asymmetric dress that can be used for many different occasions depending on the fabric you choose.  The dress is very wide at the bottom with an asymmetric wrapped skirt slightly larger than circle skirt, and the bodice is also asymmetric in both at the front and back. The free pattern is available in all sizes: European sizes 32-52 (equivalent to US sizes 4-24)

This dress in red will give it a formal look which is perfect for a  party, a wedding, or even from prom. The wide skirt is gorgeous!

Any solid color will make a beautiful dress from this pattern.

You can also use a floral fabric or a print for a romantic, youthful, and more casual look!  Prefect for spring!

Light and cotton fabrics are also suitable for summer.

Due to the asymmetrical features of the dress, all the pattern pieces must be cut in a single layer of fabric and all the seam allowances are already included in the patterns.

Use the pattern for different looks and styles:

  • Add lace to the bodice
  • Lower the neckline
  • Change to a classic or hi-low skirt
  • use the bodice of the pattern with its original asymmetric neckline for a top only (or a peplum)
  • Add sleeves

All the pictures used in this post are from Papavero website.

I hope you like it!

Happy Sewing,

Anabelle
