Free Dress Patterns: Shaped Trim Dress

This post may contain affiliate links.

The FREE dress patterns are in standard sizes (S, M, L, XL) and available for download as PDF files. It is a lovely dress with V neckline and short sleeves. The dress also has an opening in the front.

This model is one of those that you can use multiple times to achieve different looks. You can make a casual dress, a cocktail, or even an evening depending on your fabric selection and the details you add.

The shape of the dress is very flattering and suitable for all type of figures.

This dress can be sewn with 1, 2, or 3 contrasting fabrics. Below are some color combination ideas:

I like Blue and black combination. A Blue dress with black sleeves will look great! I would also add white.

Using lace, mesh, or leather details will make a modern and polish dress.  I also love the white, pink and black mesh combination or white, black leather and white mesh.  So many options! The contrasting options are unlimited.

Using only one color will make a simple and elegant dress:

And my favorite idea for a complete different look is to use a front zipper (you can use Nylon Coil Zippers for this look).

I hope you like these ideas and I’m sure you that  you can come up with many more.

On the m-pattern web site there are instructions how to print. They can be tricky, you need a printer that will print a poster so that it breaks it down in the pages for you, and check your paper sizing and shrink to fit options because they can affect the final outcome. I have successfully printed patterns from here but it takes your time to get it right. hope this helps.
