I made this Wrislet with the Clematis Wristlet FREE Pattern from Blue Calla.  The Clematis Wristlet is a great pattern if you are in need of a quick craft show or gift item! It can be made with or without a wrist strap and has one focus fabric on the exterior with a faux leather/vinyl bottom. It has a slightly curved zippered closure that is easy to sew

The finished measurements are: 10″ W x 5.5″ H x 2″ D

This project should be suitable for a beginner. As always the first item takes longer but with practice the wristlet can be done in about 1 hour.

The wristlet features an interior pocket that can be sewn with you exterior fabric.  I added a tassel that I made using a tassel cap.  Tassels give any bag a great touch and they are very easy to make:

  • Cut a square 4″ wide and your desired length (I used 3 1/2″)
  • Draw a line 1/2″ from the edge
  • Cut 1/8″ strips using a rotary cutter (up to the 1/2″ line)
  • roll and insert in your cap (mine had a screw to secure)

I used this stunning silver zipper! I’ve been using them for all of my recent projects! I also added one of the acrylic tags that I got from Maple & Rose (They look like metal, but they are acrylic – you can customize it however you want)

This is a fast project where you can use your fabric remnants (I use remnants from the organizer that I made with the A Place For Everything Pattern)

I hope you find this free wristlet pattern useful,

Happy Sewing,
