The free shorts pattern is for the Boudoir Shorts designed by Tara Miller and published in the Stitch Magazine. These modern wrap shorts feature a feminine curved slit in the front and they can be embellished with different kind of trims and laces. You can sew with any fabric and you can add different details for many different looks. The FREE pattern is available in size XS to XL and you can easily adjust it to your figure.

You’ll Need
1 1/4 yd of fabric.
elastic for the waist band
Tip. Use natural fibers (cotton, rayon, linen, silk, etc) – you want your shorts to breath… Polyester won’t be as comfortable for the heat of the summer

Pair them with a tank top or camisole or if you want to go fancy use a nice blouse. You can use these shorts for a night out or even to go to bed depending on the fabric you choose to make them.

Sewing Instructions
I didn’t find the sewing instructions for this pattern but it is not hard to sew. It runs big, when cutting, confirm your measurements (the width of the shorts should be your hip measurement + 1″)
The pattern does not include the strips showed in the cutting layout. Those strips are for the hem binding as shown in the pattern picture. If you are going to use this finishing, the strips width should be about 1 1/4″; you won’t need the strips if you are going to use a lace trim or other finishing.
There are only 3 pattern pieces, to construct:
1. Assemble the front pieces matching the black dots
2. Sew the sides
3. Sew the crotch
4. Fold over the top part and add an elastic or you can also cut a waistband
5. Finish the hem and front curves with binding or a lace trim
