Say thanks to the women in your life  and the handmade creations they make with something that she’ll love.  Below I listed some gift ideas that I think any crafty mom would like.

Sewing Class

All Crafty moms will love to learn a new technique.  There are several options at Craftsy.  Craftsy has tons of classes to choose from. In the Next-Level Knits: Techniques for Structure & Style she will learn how to sew tailored knits.  Select the class you want to gift and click on the Gift This button.

Sewing Kit

Craftsy offer a wide variety of affordable sewing kits.  The Sewaholic Saltspring Maxi Dress Pattern Kit comes with silky viscose sateen fabric and the pattern to make this dreamy dress a reality.   Select the kt you want to gift and click on the Gift This button.

Quilting Kit

If your gift if for a quilter, a great option would be a quilting kit. There are kits at different prices, filter the results based on your budget.  One of the affordable options is the Colour Wash Quilt Kit.

If your mom is a bag maker, I’m sure she will love cork fabric… I know I would 🙂 There are ton of colors and patterns to choose from. You’ll never go wrong with black or jean blue.

Gift Card

Joann Fabrics or Amazon Gift Cards are also great gifts for crafty moms. You can buy gift cards at your local drug store or online.  The Amazon gift cards are very convenient because they can also be delivered through email.

It doesn’t matter what your mom does: sewing, quilting, or bag making she probably loves fabric. It doesn’t matter how much fabric she already has, she will probably like the new  Alson Glass or Tula Pink collections.

Bag Pattern

There are many Bag Patterns you can get online at affordable prices.  You can’t go wrong with any of the Sew Sweetness or Swoon Patterns. Annette in particular is very popular in the bag making community.

Sewing Machine

The best entry level and affordable sewing machine is Brother CS3000i.  It is good for sewing, quilting, or bag making.  If your mom is looking to upgrade her machine check Juki 8700 or Sailrite (for bags or heavier materials)

Dress Form

For Pattern Makers a Dress Form is an essential tool.  Your mom will love one of these, I received one last year and I was very excited.  A friend of mine cried when she got hers. For pattern makers the ideal dress form size is 6 or 8 (the designers from Project Runway use size 6). There are also a few great pattern making classes at Craftsy.

Cricut Explore Machine

Another of my favorites is the Cricut Explore Air machine,  It is a cutting machine for DIY projects and crafts with embedded Bluetooth for wireless cutting. This machine cuts over 60 different materials with ease and precision.

    Hi Virginia!
Cork is very popular to make bags! Is eco-friendly and vegan, and it’s also water-resistant and can easily be wiped down. It feels and looks amazing 🙂
